Xiaomi Plans European EV Market Entry with Showrooms from 2027

Xiaomi confirmed its European electric vehicle ambitions through a CNBC interview with Vice President Xu Fei. The Beijing-based tech giant completed field research in June, scouting locations and developing distribution strategies for its upcoming EV rollout.

The company will compete with Chinese rivals Xpeng and Guangzhou Automobile Group, opting to adapt existing models rather than design Europe-specific vehicles. Xiaomi's SU7 sedan and YU7 SUV—their first automotive offerings with over 300,000 units delivered—likely FORM the vanguard of this expansion.

Unlike competitors racing into the market, Xiaomi emphasizes deliberate preparation. "We need full time to do [this properly]," Xu stated, reflecting a measured approach that has already rewarded investors with 170% share growth over twelve months.
